A Mini Hindustani Music concert - Mar Walah was performed by Dr. Krishna Pada Mondal on July 3, 2022 (Indian Christian Day) at Constitution. Club, Sansad Marg, New Delhi. Dr. Joseph J. Palackal designed the concept of Mar Walah - a Holy Aramaic / Syriac chant of St. Thomas Christians. AsianetNews reported the news about Dr. Joseph J Palackal's latest experiment in creating a fusion of the Aramaic chant MAR WALAH rendered in the Rag Hansadhwani of Hindustani music. The news also reported that apart from rejuvinating the Syriac (Suriyani) Church music, Dr. Joseph J. Palackal is taking efforts in popularising the Aramaic / Syriac music among the common masses also. |
